Macon Re-Cover

To ensure safety and compliance during the TPO re-cover project, we established safety lines around the perimeter of the roof according to OSHA guidelines and adhere to all OSHA Fall Protection requirements throughout the work. For product application, we started by mechanically attaching 0.5″ EPS FanFold insulation over the existing roof surface, followed by the mechanical attachment of 60mil TPO over the insulation. We secured the TPO to vertical surfaces using a solvent-based bonding adhesive, and installed TPO pipe boots on all pipes penetrating the roof. Pourable sealant pockets were applied where necessary per the manufacturer’s specifications, and all penetrations, corners, and T-joints were flashed accordingly. Welded seams between the membrane and vertical wall flashing, and installed termination bars at all curbs and wall terminations. Placed new TPO walkpads around all roof units, and replaced drain clamping rings as required. Initial preparation involved removing any existing saturated roofing areas, installing new tapered polyisocyanurate insulation to match the existing height, and cleaning and prepping the roof surface for the new application. Fabricated and installed 24GA steel slip metal to curbs, drip edge metal to draining roof edges, and gravel stop to non-draining edges. Ensured the work area is cleaned and organized at the end of each day, and hauled away all debris from the roof removal process.
