Sylvester Re-Cover

To prepare the existing surface for the new roof installation, our team employs a meticulous process that includes dry vacuuming all ballast from the roof surface and blowing off loose dirt and debris.

The core of the installation features the application of a Duro-Blue slip sheet, covering an expansive area of 42,915 square feet, followed by the mechanical attachment of a 50 Mil DuroTuff PVC membrane to the roof deck, covering the same area. Vertical surfaces are fully adhered with a solvent-based bonding adhesive, totaling 1,702 square feet. Various installations follow, including the provision and installation of Duro-Last Two-Way Air Vents, PVC pipe boots (3 total), pourable sealant pockets (3 total), and PVC flashing strips on all curbs. Every detail is attended to, from flashing all penetrations, corners, and T-joints as per manufacturer’s specifications to welding all seams between membranes with a hot air welder and probe for accuracy.

The meticulous termination of the membrane at edges aligns precisely with manufacturer’s specifications. Additional features include the provision and installation of new PVC walkpads as required by the manufacturer. Enhancing structural integrity, 24GA steel slip metal is provided and installed at curbs and coping cap, along with PVC-coated drip edge at all draining edges and PVC-coated counter flashing at all wall terminations.
