Conyers Re-Cover

Executing a comprehensive approach to roofing, we prioritize safety by providing and setting up safety lines around the roof perimeter in accordance with OSHA fall protection standards. Additionally, anchor points for harnesses are strategically provided, ensuring a secure working environment. The initial steps involve clearing the roof surface of loose dirt and debris, creating a clean canvas for the new installation.

To prepare the existing surface for the new roof, a Duro-Weave Slip Sheet was provided and loosely laid, covering an area of 1,725 square feet. The roofing system continues with the mechanical attachment of a 50mil Duro-Tuff PVC membrane to the roof deck over the slip sheet. Ensuring a strong bond, the PVC is fully adhered to vertical surfaces using a solvent-based bonding adhesive.

Ventilation is a key consideration, and to meet specifications, we provided and installed Duro-Last Two-Way Air Vents (2 total). Additionally, Duro-Last pipe boots were installed for all pipes penetrating the roof surface (1 total), along with PVC flashing strips along all curbs (72 LF). Meticulous attention is given to flashing all penetrations, corners, and T-joints as per manufacturers’ specifications. Seams between membranes were welded using a hot air welder and probe for accuracy, and the membrane was terminated at edges as specified by the manufacturer.

Further reinforcing the roofing structure, 24GA steel slip metal was provided and installed underneath existing curb and wall flashing (176 LF). PVC-coated drip edge was installed at all draining edges (50 LF).
