North Little Rock Retrofit

During the TPO retrofit project, which covered 87,300 square feet, all applicable OSHA safety and protection guidelines were applied and adhered to. New EPS square cut flute fill insulation boards were provided and installed between the ribs across the 87,300 square feet. Additionally, 1-inch polyisocyanurate insulation boards were mechanically attached to the existing roof surface over the same area. A 60-mil TPO was also mechanically attached into the purlins, and TPO was fully adhered to vertical surfaces using solvent-based bonding adhesive for 800 square feet. All penetrations, corners, and T-joints were flashed according to the manufacturer’s specifications. The seams between membranes were welded with a hot air welder, and probes were used for accuracy, while the membrane was terminated at the edges per the manufacturer’s guidelines. Steel skylight covers were provided and installed over all 46 skylights, and existing ridge vents were removed and replaced with new steel covers. A new wood nailer was installed at the perimeter of the roof, totaling 1,760 linear feet, and existing gutters and downspouts, measuring 1,400 linear feet, were removed and disposed of. New 24-gauge Kynar-coated gravel stops were installed at non-draining edges, totaling 360 linear feet, along with a new TPO-coated metal drip edge at draining edges, measuring 1,000 linear feet. At the end of each workday, the work area was cleaned and organized, and all debris from the roof work was hauled away and disposed of.
