North Charleston Replacement

All applicable OSHA safety and protection guidelines were applied and adhered to throughout the project. The existing ridge and vents were removed, and new steel covers were installed over the openings, totaling 223 linear feet. Steel covers were also provided and installed over 54 skylights. New 2×6 and 1×6 wood nailers were installed around the perimeter of the roof, amounting to 1,113 linear feet. Existing gutters and downspouts were removed and disposed of, including 446 linear feet of gutters and 20 downspouts. EPS flute fill insulation boards were installed between ribs, covering 51,692 square feet, followed by the mechanical attachment of 0.5” Fanfold EPS insulation over the flute fill. A 60mil TPO membrane was then mechanically attached into the purlins across the same area. TPO pipe boots were installed on all pipes penetrating the roof surface, and pourable sealant pockets were added to areas as required by the manufacturer’s specifications. All penetrations, corners, and T-joints were flashed per manufacturer’s guidelines. Seams between membranes were welded with a hot air welder and probed for accuracy, and the membrane was terminated at edges as specified. For metal installation, a new TPO-coated drip edge was installed at draining edges (446 linear feet), and a new 24GA Kynar-coated gravel stop was added to non-draining edges (486 linear feet). New 24GA steel Kynar-coated box gutters (446 linear feet) and downspouts (20 total) were also installed. The work area was cleaned and organized at the end of each workday, and all debris from the roof work was hauled away and disposed of.
